Define an observable event

Specify the camera location, visible condition and trigger, such as a persistent appearance change or packaging damage in a marked region. Ordinary cameras do not measure pollutant concentrations or establish regulatory exceedances.

Include camera conditions and negative samples

Collect steam, backlight, rain, night footage, occlusion and people passing the camera, as well as target events. Keep tuning samples separate from acceptance samples. Use authorized footage and agreed retention rules.

Report more than one accuracy number

Measure event-level false alarms, missed events, alert delay and continuous operation. State the test duration, camera count, sample distribution and denominators. A confidence score from one frame is not a measurement of operational performance.

Test what happens after an alert

Check the evidence clip, delivery to the responsible person, manual confirmation and event closure. Production interlocks and automatic controls require a separate safety review. A pilot can start with read-only connections and advisory alerts.
